Thank you Beau & Kathleen White for asking the GCJRTN to put on a racing demonstration for the members of your Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association in Austin, TX on June 15th, 2008! Congratulations to River Bottom Scout, owned by Wallie & Bill Wallwin, for bringing home the Reserve Championship! Watch out for this young boy!!!
And a SUPER congratulations to Boomer, owned by Linda Lujan (our most esteemed "Hawk-Eye" judge), for her third place win - shows that the veterans still have it in them!
Thank you to ALL the participants and their Jacks, y'all went the extra mile and your club appreciates it. Every Jack gave all it had - and they had fun and provided wonderful entertainment which benefited a very wothy cause. Kudos to all who attended! Lisa

"WELCOME TO THE GULF COAST JRT NETWORK"
The Gulf Coast Jack Russell Terrier Network is an affiliate of the Jack Russell Terrier Club Of America (JRTCA), whose motto is "Preserve, Protect And Work" the Jack Russell Terrier.
As a local organization based in South and Central Texas, we share this objective and provide opportunities for JRT owners in our region to get together and socialize with each other and their Jacks. We do this by means of "playdays", 2-3 per year, at members' homes where we school our Jacks in racing, some agility, lure coursing and Go-To-Ground, etc. We also stage an annual trial, usually the first weekend in March, which is sanctioned by the JRTCA. Our trials attract a wider participation than our own membership.

Attention Approved JRTCA BREEDERS!!!!
As a favor to our/your club, in order to help expand our membership, I would like to ask our local breeders/members to please refer prospective Jack owners and those who purchase a Jack from your kennel – to our club website. Our club has gained several new members recently, however, most of them were not told about the GCJRTN, they sort of just stumbled upon us through the JRTCA website. I think this could be a great boost for our club membership as well as introduce new people to playdays…spread the word! Our club now has more exposure to potential new members via the below "GCJRTN Meetup" website. It is still in the works, but hopefully will help to increase our membership base. Thanks!

The Texas Toast is the official band of the Gulf Coast JRT Network!! They'll be back to play for our Texas Two Step VI & VII trials on March 7 & 8, 2009. Dinner/Auction/DANCING !!! - don't leave early, stay and DANCE!!
